Eternally Fit Health and Nutrition was founded to help
Americans “Reclaim” their health. We believe that God is using Eternally Fit
to provide individuals with the proper “Tools” necessary to build healthy
bodies. We want Eternally Fit to be the company that you turn to when you are
ready to take control of your health by seeking alternative approaches to
sickness and disease.
Most
people would have to agree that God never intended for us to live a life filled
with drugs, antibiotics, and prescription medications. From the earth, God has
provided us with all the vital nutrients that our body needs each day, right in
our food. However, through processing, food additives, chemicals, pesticides,
and the depletion of our soil, the foods that we eat today do not contain the
nutrients that they were originally designed too. Of the top 20 advanced
Countries of the world, when it
comes to longevity, the United States ranks 16th.
Not 1st, not 2nd, we’re not even in the top 10. We’re
almost last! We are being outlived by Countries that have nowhere near the
advanced technology that we have. Yes, when it comes to acute medicine, trauma
treatment, surgery, or emergency medicine, we have by far the best treatment
available anywhere on the planet. But when it comes to disease prevention, you
would be better served to move out of the U.S. Americans are dying from heart
disease, cancer, and many other forms of degenerative diseases faster than
almost anyone. Why is that? Could it have anything to do with our nutritional
habits, or the environment that we live in?
Former Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop said that more than 90% of the
diseases that plague Americans today, are caused by the food that they eat. He
goes on the say that if we would just increase our consumption of fresh fruits
and vegetables we could eliminate many of these deadly diseases. Knowing this,
most Americans will barely eat 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables a week, let
alone each day as recommended. Why is that?
One of the primary reasons for our poor nutrition is the environment that we live in. Research has shown that we eat the food that we eat because it is the most readily available. You can’t walk outside your door without seeing a fast food restaurant. They seem to be on every corner, and a new one seems to pop up every day. Just look in your local grocery store, the fresh fruit and vegetable section only makes up a very small portion of the total amount of food being sold. What about when you check out, look at the side racks, do you see any healthy food sold there? It’s candy bars and chips. Common Sense tells us that many of the foods we eat are bad for us, but those types of foods are all around us, how could we possibly be expected not to eat them. Our poor eating habits have become so out of control, that many people, even when told by their physician that unless they change their poor eating habits, will die of disease, they will do nothing to alter their eating habits.
Our Culture encourages women to remain skinny in order to be more
attractive, yet
does nothing to show them the proper way to obtain those
objectives. You see, research has shown that it isn’t protein that is making
us fat, it isn’t carbohydrates, and for the most part it isn’t even fat that
is the primary culprit. Too Much Food Is Making Us Fat! It’s as simple
as that! If your desire is to be fat free and healthy, the bottom line is that
you need to eat less and move more. There are no quick fixes, and no miracle
cures. We need to somehow alter the environment that we live in so that we
understand that poor nutrient foods are killing us, and good foods can keep us
vibrant and disease free. Until we do so, anything that we attempt to do will
only be a temporary solution to a life long problem.
In
this day and age, it’s not a matter of should we eat more fruits and
vegetables, should we take supplements, and should we exercise, but more a
matter of HOW should we!
I
